Other than taking to my bed with a dose of man-flu, this week has mainly been spent in the saddle. First up was the Manchester 100 miler (photographing, not riding in). Then a pedal to the once-a-decade Knutsford Great Penny Farthing Race, where I somehow didn’t bump into fellow exhibitor Howard Barlow. Then I had a lesson from BikeRight which is the day job of photographer Will Woods (who did ride the Manchester 100 miler) then it was a (train) ride to Blackpool for the finish of stage 1 of the Tour of Britain. Along the way I read Rob Penn’s It’s All about the Bike, and just need to work out why so many photographers are cyclists.
