Some more photos of people taking photos. Why do we take photos? I do it to pass the time, perhaps to leave a memory. These snappers (I think) wanted to prove “I was here”. From the left: Stonehenge, Ground Zero and Blackpool*. Now I remember when I was very young and just getting interested in photography, I got some strange looks for photographing alleyways around Old Trafford, but whatever’s going on here at Ground Zero, I think it shows the site of the World Trade Centre is a tourist attraction. Some ideas here from a few years ago about 9/11 and the regime of the image.
