“Nothing strengthens authority so much as silence”. Sunny day in Mancunia today, and it gets hot in the back of them TAG vans – so we went to the Leonardo da Vinci exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry – the commentry helpfully told me his name meant Leonardo of Vinci. Anyway, sorry about the camera shake on this one – that’ll teach me to borrow Mrs Dave’s camera. I can only quote Mr Vinci: “I have offended God and mankind because my work didn’t reach the quality it should have”. Surprisingly he didn’t invent photography, but did say: “There are three classes of people: those who see, those who see when they are shown, those who do not see”.
