Booklet documenting an art project. Dioramas displayed under perspex domes, featuring scale models of Invacars, the pale blue disabled vehicles which were once a common sight on British roads.
Here are used as a symbol of how people’s view of disability may have changed, but disabled people’s position in society really hasn’t. The booklet incluedes several short essays on disability, art and history mixed with the usual blend of politics, piss taking and history.
“I had to give up working as a carer for disabled people when I became disabled myself. I didn’t like it. It made me question my own attitudes towards disability.”
Full colour, A5 size, stapled, 20 stapled pages, printed on silk 170gsm paper.
